FVWM is the window manager for Slackware. Well, it comes up in FVWM95 and you may also select FVWM. (nickname "feeble")

Slackware, BTW, has Slackware 4.0 out. On the sunsite. Kudos der Volkerding

Been using Applixware for a while now and I can concur that it works well and does most windowy things. I ran into a few bugs in setting page numbers and I feel that some of the tools are uncessarily counter intuitive while the manual is overly simplistic. But it does a good job of printing and creating, and imports and exports a good bunch of competitive file types. Quality is superior right now to the free Corel WP.

On to XML, the word processor killer.
