TraderTerry -- thanks for the list of dates re: YHOO earnings. In the strictest sense you are mostly right. Yahoo dips after earnings report. But not always. I find that in the instances where it dips it saw a significant runup in advance of earnings report. So the earnings "pop" comes ahead of reporting. On one of the dates you mention the dip was negligible and was erased in the next couple of days. On another, there was a significant spike after announcement. I guess it depends on whether one is looking at it through bear eyes or bull eyes. But given that Yahoo is on a good pre-announcement run today, taking the sector with it, we could probably expect a dip to follow. Although with this market, anything can happen.
