truedog, one of the biggest problems with the right wingers that inhabit these threads is that they are unable to see any flaws in their own arguments and yet when the same tactic is used by anybody even slightly to the left of Jerry Falwell it becomes an issue. I was responding to Vern's allegation that "Perot would win by a landslide". Now, tell me, does anybody here actually think that Perot can win by a landslide anywhere? And this doesn't even touch on the very important fact that once again, the republicans are way off in extreme land on the issues. Of course Bush hasn't talked issues because once he does his numbers will go down and he knows that. Otoh Gore is somewhat forced to talk issues because as a VP we all know where he stands already. Bush is pro-life and pro-gun, I don't believe he will win in California. If he changes his position on these matters that will be different. He hasn't yet.
