Yes and yes. And it can be the shrinking of the circle that brings on more violence. The death rattle. At least I hope it is, and that the violence is kept to a minimum. People who have dominated the day seldom let it slip away without a fight. I don't underestimate the depth of anger or the violence it could engender. I agree about Christian churches, too. I wish I could come up with an easy way to differentiate in language between Christians and people who hide behind the shield of a religion's name to cover motives that are political.
