Hey Sarkie, I bumped into a Basking Shark once, Huge Sucker!

Second largest shark in the world next to the Whale Shark, though nearly the same size 50-60-ft. & plankton feeders.

I was cruising a quiet inlet on a calm clear day in Clayoquot sound in my cute little hand crafted 3/4 inch thick hulled Clinker.

I was heading up the inlet to look for Anchovy with my little Purse-Seine and was rolling a Drum cig when all of a sudden the boat bumps something solid on the starboard bow and this tail shoots up along side my boat, hitting it as it up, and smashing down only inches away from the hull!!, Almost fish-game-over!
