An interesting series of questions. Do I have a moral 'code'? Not my own. I have a certain sympathy for do-unto-others. And I try to figure it out as I go along.

Which of the *nots* do I find unuseful? My point is that I believe morality is more about 'doing' than 'not doing'. I believe that it is not useful (or appropriate) for governments to tell people which god to worship (the first commandment), how to worship (the second commandment), or how often to take a day off and what to do on that day (keeping the Sabbath Day *holy* can only mean set aside for religious observance).

I do not believe myself to represent anyone but myself. But you chose to characterize those who are against this proposal as 'the immoral'. I am against this proposal. I can only assume that you think that I'm immoral.

Finally, some questions for you. Do you think that posting the decalogue will change anyone's behaviour? Do you think that it is possible to keep the Ten Commandments and not be moral? What kinds of behaviour do you disapprove of that are not covered by the Ten Commandments?
