Yes. God knows our hearts and looks more closely at the righteousness and sincerity of our intensions than the results of our efforts. We have a tendency to look mainly at the outcomes and the material success of other men. God knows if infact what these things are founded on. God judges our hearts and tests us on our earnest efforts. The success or failure of deeds is in the hands of the all powerful. A materialistic failure may be a test of faith in the grand scheme of things. As in the story of Job. The purpose of life is not to succeed at accomplishing materialistic goals but to succeed in dealing with the tests of our faith in the process.
