I solved the problem more simply. My husband has his own room, in which he keeps all the things I hate. It looks remarkably like his bachelor pad in there. And I have painted my bedroom pink, and have Tiffany lamp shades with pink cabbage roses, and a pink and gold brocade bed-spread, which he doesn't mind as long as it is in my room.
