eric and all,

RE; EMC and Mcdata

I called EMC IR today (508) 435-1000 and was connected to Seth in the IR department who was a pretty nice guy. I simply asked him if they sold Brocade switches thru Mcdata or not. His answer was that EMC has Never sold a Brocade switch, even thru McData. He says that their equipment will work with them. He says EMC currently sells McData's director/ two 32 port switches that are made by McData, not Brocade. He said that he is Not sure if McData uses Brocade still, but that Brocade supplied McData with their 16 port switches, and EMC has never sold any of these products.

Hope this doesn't confuse people. I am a little confused because if a lot of Brocade's sales have been with McData, just who is the end user of these switches? I just assumed EMC was. Can someone else jump in here and clarify more?

thanks and all imho,
pigboy
