It is no use to bother where Bill Gates will spend his money. As an
Apple stock investors, don't expect any quick money will be made from
here. The bottom line of boosting Apple stock price is totally from
its sales revenue and improved net income. Therefore, instead of
speculating who is going to buy Apple, I would directly place the pressure
on the head of Apple because he would make or break the future of Apple.

First, instead of his insistence on profit qurter is 4th Q 97, why not
the next quarter (3rd Q) since the layoffs have been done? Why cannot
Dr. Gil say something that will increase his own and investors confidence.
Does Apple really only need to count on "school reopen" quarter?

Second, the current quarter's revenue is about 1.6-1.7 billions, does Apple
have any confidence to increase it back to 2.1-2.5 billions level? From
its yearly 9.0 billions prediction in 97, I think Apple should increase
sales in next two quarters, but do they have guts to spell out now?

Third, does the future OS's corss-platform charactersitics kill the Mac
sales since everybody can install OS in WinTel machines? Do Umax and
Power comapnies try to sell Intel-based pc signal any risk about PowerPC's
future?
