This makes no sense. Why would Yahoo buy S3 to get DIMD's products when S3 doesn't even own DIMD yet? What does Yahoo want with a 3D chip business and fab space? I can believe them just buying the Rio and RioPort businesses, but then S3 is giving up some of DIMD's biggest remaining potential. Just when you think you've got it all figured out. . . An internut gets into a hardware business.
