Susan, Grace, Carolyn, Sleeper, Pareto, Joana, Mary, SarkieBug, levy, Jed, Puna (of course)
and all the rest of the "Go2Netrillionaires":

Just thought I'd just drop by for a moment to say HI TO YOU ALL!!!
I can't believe what a great GNET thread this is turning out to be!!!

When I placed the 6th thread post, late that first night (which is about where I'd have been on the "long" list if I had been an SI member when the list was started), I just felt there might be a few more posts, and then the thread would have been placed somewhere in Go2Net's "Classic Threads" archives for posterity.

But, "In My Humble Opinion" this is becoming the most spirited and enthusiastic stock investing thread for all of "Silicon Investor," perhaps in all of Cyberspace. Heck, how many other threads can claim to be having this much fun, while making a ton of "profit" in the stock market at the same time. The absolute "joy" reflected here is really contagious!

Regarding the Hawaiian Trip. My gosh, it looks like you guys & gals are really going to pull it off!!! I just wish my old spinster aunt was still alive (she passed on a few years ago at 88). She ran a travel agency in Seattle for years, and organized many tours to the Hawaiian islands all the time. She new the islands like the back of her hand (living there about 6 months out of each year, in her later years), and always knew where to find (and how to get) the best prices and lowest discounts.

My soon to be bride (getting a little excited about the "big event on the 25th of this month in our garden) may plan to take a delayed honeymoon, so we can join you all for at least "small" part of our honeymoon. The sooner you can nail down the dates the better, so we (and many others who'd like to come) can begin to schedule some "vacation" time to be there.

I don't know if any of the following have been discussed (haven't had the time to read all the posts on this thread yet), but here are a few random thoughts for your consideration:

1. Nail down the date(s) and location for the GNET "Party Headquarters" (Hotel/Resort or whatever "accomodations," and location of the main big party celebration).

2. Set a preliminary agenda and itinerary.

3. Perhaps get a travel agent to look into "group discounts" for such a huge group as the (soon to be) "world famous" Go2Netrillionaires and their associates (rooms, rentals, airlines etc...). Heck, we wouldn't even have to "name drop" who might be playing in the band at the beach party, to find some great group discounts.

4. Plan for the entire GNET group to spend a few days staying in the one location, with ONE HUGE BEACH PARTY at the end.

5. Research and identify really cool sides trips that individuals can take from the GNET headquarters site. That way those that can only stay a few days, or who want to branch out and explore the islands on their own, can do so.

6. Invite Paul Allen and his "The Grown Men" rock group to perform at the BIG BEACH PARTY.

7. Design a trip sign-up "Registration Form," that would include information on airlines, room rates, side trip rates, with optional costs to sign up for the beach party, special awards dinner(?), cocktail parties, whatever. Sort of like you would do for a high school reunion. I know, as my best friend & soulmate bride-to-be met while working for a year on the planning committee for our 30th high school class reunion. Then post the form on this thread, so everyone can just download it, fill it in if they're coming, and mail it back to the "Go2Netrillionaires Annual Hawaiian Beach Party chairperson (I nominate "Jed" for that position, as his friend BLUE was instrumental late one night in reserving a place for me in the top 50 of the "Long" list, as a wedding gift of a "lifetime membership" to SI from my wonderful Bro!).

8. Keep the incredible management, staff, and Board of Directors of GNET posted on the details of the planning as they begin to finalize, and the final dates, times etc... We want as many of them to be there with us for the big celebration as possible. Perhaps it will be just the first of many mass GNET celebrations in the years to come. I would vote for an "annual" event. And Hawaii will be fine. Just a hope, skip, and a jump from GNET headquarters in Seattle.

9. Set up a "raffle" (drawing to held at the beach party) for say a free ticket to Hawaii (with accommodations) for two, for the following year's party. Try to find a "donar" for the raffle, and used the funds raised to set up a permanent "LONG' term "Go2Netrillonaires Annual Hawaiian Beach Party" fund.

10. Elect a chair, treasurer, and secretary to an "organizing committee" to oversee the fund, and to plan the following year's event. Part of the "requirement" to serve on the committee, would be that they would be have to "visit" all potential future GNET party sites throughout the year to check them out for suitability. I would say the committee should have, oh let's see, about 100 MEMBERS or so. Perhaps such a committee could be a "huge" tax write-off for GNET (just a thought Russ, if you're listening!!!).

Well, that's all I can think of at the moment.
Keep up the good work and research you're all doing.

I'll try to drop by from time to time to see how the plans are coming along, but I am incredibly busy at the moment. Barely having time to see how much my GNET has gone up, and answer a PM or two (and typing at about 15wpm, with really lousy spelling doesn't help)!!!

Gota get back out in the sun now (yes, it FINALLY CAME OUT in the Seattle area, and almost blinded us all), and work on a few large "yard" projects for the upcoming "big event" in my life.

Later everyone,
Roger numberfortynineoftheworldfamousgo2netrillionaires :)

PS. You'all just keep on having fun, okay? IMHO, our stock will just keep going up for years anyway.
If you're a GNET "long" one that is!!!
