Martek Field Report #1: Went by the only health/pill store in the largest suburban mall in town (Indy) -- a GNC (Gen. Nutrition Center) store. They had a shelf of Source Natural herbs, etc. but not their Martek DHA. The only DHA they had (naturally -- no pun intended) was the fish oil variety. When I asked the gal where their DHA pills were, she showed me the DHEA stuff (I wonder what that would do for an ignorant pregnant lady's baby?). When I said "... I don't think this is the same thing", it turned out that (as could easily happen, I bet, since DHEA is on lots of buyers' lips) she thought I said "DHEA". When I asked if she knew if they were going to carry the Source Naturals algae-derived form (which she seemed to know existed -- or at least she was informed enough re. health-stuff to grasp the difference), she said it was a private store, & she didn't know if the owner was going to carry it, or not. More sleuthing/reports to follow....
