Re: MRL + Exxon/Esso Exp dispute irt MARINE 700
I don't think there is any special reason to expect resolution of the issue on or before 7/15. I expect there will be claims that MRL has Not met the terms of the contract because the MARINE 700 is Not complete as specified, and that legal actions and negotiations will continue.

This claim of non-completeness would be a negotiating tactic by Exxon, not necessarily because of substantial incompleteness. MRL will state that the 700 is complete as specified, and that the terms of the contract have been met.
---But can MRL prove or compel contract compliance in a situation like this where the sides can each bring experts to court to dispute endlessly?
(I'll bet Exxon has a team ready to fill dozens of notepads with faults in the 700.)

A negotiated agreement is the way this will be resolved, imho, and the 7/15 date is not a major factor.

I think that we may see a dip in MRL if/when July 15th comes and goes without the resolution many expect, and I will be watching closely in hopes of enlarging my position at that time.

Could conceivably be settled sooner, of course. My point is just that the 7/15 date is not really important. imho.

All the preceeding just my opinion, and I am often wrong.

diana
