My point is that if you hold life so dear as to invade another's beliefs (where they don't believe a fetus is a life, and you do), and impose your will on them, which can have devastating effects, then to be consistent you should be applying this same zeal in defense of "life" to other things that threaten life. Since you believe your Pontiac is life-threatening, maybe we should impound any cars involved in an accident, and take away that individual's drivers license for say one year? Fault is irrelevant, just the fact that someone is in an accident is enough, since after all most unwanted pregnancies are not intentional either. Just a protectionary measure, in support of life, you know. Well lets see, 50,000 deaths a year in car accidents, thats an awful lot, maybe we should outlaw driving alltogether?
I realize this is ridiculous, but no more so than some anti-choice position that aligns themselves with "life" (emphasize quotes here) while at the same time refusing to outlaw semi-automatic weapons which exist solely to kill. ha ha funny funny |
