Brian & Intel Investors - A very poignant statement from Joe Osha at Merrill Lynch in his Intel Upgrade memo from today:

"We think it's interesting that Intel detractors have focused on the shift in mix in the desktop market without also noting that internet-driven demand is driving sales of Intel's most profitable products as well. Pricing for PII and PIII Xeon products ranges from $824 to $3,692 - a few Xeons into the server market compensate for quite a few Celerons in terms of average selling price. "

This "concept" may be where Damn Niles and Merrill/Prudential diverge in their assessment of Intel's OVERALL BUSINESS performance.
