What's the deal with Walter?

Every time I check this board, I see new complaints about Walter. Yet, when I look to see what all the ruckus is about, all I find is interesting and helpful posts from Walter!

It seems to me that the squawkers are doing more harm to EDIG than Walter could do even if he wanted to! His critics' agitated gabbling gives the impression that EDIG is being held primarily by a clutch of nervous hens who think that raising questions about EDIG will somehow bring down their henhouse. If you squeakers want to save EDIG from what you consider to be FUD, show some confidence! (Angry braying is *not* a sign of confidence.)

I am a long-time long in EDIG, by the way, and I welcome Walter's friendly little provocations. His latest effort, the question about what an investor should do if some company announces an EPAC player that does not use MicroOs, is a good question. A serious and knowledgeable EDIG investor will have no problems with that question, but I can understand how that same question might unhinge a hanger-on who has little grasp of the pertinent factors involved in maintaining a position in EDIG.
