Carolyn,
I have been out most of the day, (ouch, what happened to GNET) since I came in I have discovered a ton of posts to read. Anyway, I have been giving a lot of thought to the Hawaii trip, and it looks like Roger has beat me to some suggestions.
To Everyone: Here is my idea.....if there be any objections......speak now or forever hold your peace.
I am very qualified to take over the organization of this trip and I am very familiar with the island of Maui, and right now I have the time to do it and I would love to do it. One of my favorite things to do is to delegate. I have done this before, if anyone wants my resume I will be happy to provide it at some later date. <gg> Seriously, I have opened new businesses in New York, Paris, Milan and others, and have made many of the arrangements via telephone and before ever getting there. Enough about me.
We can go on and on forever trying to decide when and where. So....I will check into a couple of dates, present them to the group and go from there.
Carolyn has proven to be one that follows through so I feel she will make an excellent co-organizer with me.
I feel the best route to take is to locate hotels in the mid price range, see if the can accommodate our group and what dates they have available.
Next route would be to set up committees for welcome cocktail party, golf, sightseeing, GNET stuff, dinners and so on.
I will start now!
Carolyn, if you are online, would you please PM me.......
