All you Digital Jammers heard tonight that the major record labels are set to announce tomorrow that an accord has been reached to sell their music over the internet in MP3 format. And a major push will be made to make it widely available by X'mas. Next year they will add encryption to prevent piracy.

This has to be good for the Rio, right? I'm new to MP3, but it looks like mostly schlock is available now.

Also in checking out the competition, I found no MP3 player on the Sony website.

And the great thing about it is that the new Rio player will be tax deductible. I'm doing investment research, capiche! Plus I have ADSL so the downloads will be fast.
