MINNEAPOLIS - Best Buy has announced it will begin selling Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) hardware and software on March 25.

The retailer said it will offer five DVD players and 23 movie titles will be available in 74 Best Buy stores in five major markets. Interactive, in-store displays will allow customers to experience the capabilities of DVD, the company said. All 272 Best Buys will carry DVD hardware by May 1.

The DVD players, which play movies and audio CDs, will cost between $549 and $999. Software will retail for between $20 and $25, Best Buy said.
