Babs, I suggest you take a remedial civics class. Libel is not protected by the Constitution. And although you lied today on another chat line when you said that you never make such a claim, I see you still wrap yourself in the Constitution while defending lies.

Opinions stated as such and truths are protected free speech. Yelling fire in a crowded theater or claiming a company is a scam and the president is a crook can be protected -IF TRUE. If not true, it can be libel or slander, depending on whether it is written (libel) or spoken (slander). Clearly, some speech is beyond the protection of the First Amendment.
