likeit or not, 56Kflex is out there on the marketplace. Available today. Cheaper than the X2 modems. CompUSA is advertising on the radio in the San Francisco market area, which includes Silicon Valley, that they have Rockwell 56KFlex modems in stock. The ad, obviously supported by Rockwell, repeats the 56KFlex name a number of times.
To confirm availability I called the Emeryville store and they do have Motorola Rockwell-based 56KFlex modems in stock for $160 (internal) and $200 (he thought) for the external models.
