Thanks for responding.....#1....in re: to the ceo who is in your words.... "Traditional paternalistic style".....and you wrote "This particular CEO must quickly be shown the error of his ways, through example and education."......referring to a great salesperson but cant runa $50 million company.....your assessment is correct....but...allow me to interject this......This person in most respects (And i assume you have had dealings with this type of person)....under controlling shareholder status....typically wont listen to reason....am i partially correct????

even under extreme pressures he/she will do what is ever necessary to remain in control......everything you said was extremely accurate.....almost to a tee.....but explanation will almost never be accepted as a result of their integrity being hurt....they will use that as an excuse despite their constant errors etc......

as for mediocre product/service vs. great marketing...or great product vs. mediocre marketing.....i say wow.....i really never looked at it that way....may have to adjust my thinking.....being from the marketing side of things.....build me a suitable product...one that works...mediocre......ill bring in the sales.......but what your saying is build it better and you wont have to market as hard.....hmmmmmm....

very interesting....mike
