I see zero regulatory angle to force sale of handset division

I must return to point expressed in midJune... perhaps Q intends to sell handset division due to increased competition, lack of solid brand name outside North America, slowly declining margins... build up the war chest with cold cash, then buy a handheld PC mfr of solid repute... integrate the wireless modem, and liftoff

I maintain Siemens deal is a joint venture for relabeled handsets in Europe... flank those Swedish bastards... Nokia already is ramping up CDMA unit sales... Siemens sale of more CDMA units pressures Ericy to join the party... end result: accelerated CDMA adoption in Europe... the grand prize in wireless is Europe... North America is but a cacophony of vying standards and modes
