Do you or anybody know who makes cable modem chipset?

I know Broadcom does. I think CNXT does, too.
Perhaps Philips, LSI or Toshiba do, too.
Do you know how do I search for the list of
cable modem IC suppliers? How do I compare the performances of
these different cable modem chip sets?

Anyone care to tell me where to start?
