James,

Fujitsu to compete with ARMHY?

I am sure many companies will try to compete with ARMHY. Whether they succeed may depend not only on the relative merits of the architectures, but also on the number of designers familiar with the respective design tools and quality of support. In this respect I am sure ARMHY will do well. Also, it is a very large marketplace and there is probably room for many.

There seems to be a convergence of microcontrollers and DSPs developing which should make for interesting times.

John
