Question for the thread: I am modestly familiar with this company and was discussing the pros and cons of cable with a friend of mine. I am aware that one of the advantages of dsl over cable is the shared node vs. independant line structure. The more cable users on a node, it gets boogged down and slows. DSL does not have this issue to deal with. My friend was suggesting that the cable comoanies have fixed this problem by using the brcm chips. I did not think this was correct. would someone please clarifiy this for me..I have a personal wager witht this guy and want to get it straight.
