From YHOO's SLGX thread:

I left SalesLogix because of burn-out. I spent 2 years taking the product from point zero to shipping and ran out of gas.

I still feel great about the company for a number of reasons. First, there are a huge number of companies out there who simply could not afford Siebel or Vantive. For them, SalesLogix is a great solution. Second, I work with Siebel and Vantive and have found that the SalesLogix is comparable to or better than either one of those products. I have done side-by-side comparisons between Siebel and SalesLogix and the main difference is that Siebel has been around longer and thus has more implemented features. Architecturally, the two products are almost identical. Siebel is doing better because they are great marketers and the high end simply takes off faster than the middle market. That's the same thing that happened with the ERP space. The middle market is just less mature.

Questions about architecture seem to be a moot point. I understand that the synch process is sound.
