IPVoice.com, Inc., - OTC-BB: IPVC - Signs Agreement with ICG Communications, Inc. - NASDAQ: ICGX - July 7, 1999 08:59 AM LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 7, 1999--
IPVoice.com expands buildout of Flat25(tm) Network.
IPVoice.com(tm) is pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement with ICG Telecom Group, Inc., a subsidiary of ICG Communications, Inc. ICGX , for network services expanding on the co-locations sites announced in the June 15th Level 3 Communications LVLT press statement.
IPVoice.com will purchase local loop access and additional co-location services from ICG for expansion of its Flat25 network. The agreement with ICG enables IPVoice.com to begin deployment of TrueConnect(tm) Gateways in 19 cities - 10 of which are part of the original Flat25 network - in California, Colorado, Texas and Georgia.
IPVoice.com's Flat25 Plan gives residential customers unlimited long distance minutes for $25 per month. Customers will be able to make phone calls over the Internet using a regular telephone, without having to own a computer. On May 20, 1999, IPVoice.com outlined the first 6 cities that would receive the service. This initial plan will be increased and accelerated to cover 15 major sites that IPVoice.com plans to have in operation by August of this year.
In the upcoming weeks IPVoice.com plans to announce additional agreements that will fulfill the company's commitment to deploy TrueConnect(tm) Gateways and commence network operations of its Flat25 services in the United States. Flat25 services will eventually allow consumers the opportunity to call over 240 destinations worldwide at very favorable rates. Flat25 brings IPVoice.com into direct competition with such long distance customers as AT&T ATT , MCI WorldCom WCOM and Sprint FON .
