NEWS RELEASE: Peruvian Gold Limited PVO Shares issued 10849781 1997-03-20 close $2.15 Friday Mar 21 1997 News Release Mr David Henstridge reports The company has received further assay results from the adit being driven on the company's El Encanto project in Ecuador. The cross-cut is complete and the drift is currently at 11 metres and continuing. The first drift results include 2.52, 15.68, 22.41 and 25.76 g/t Au. Once the underground exploration program is complete and all assay results received, management will assess the results and determine the next phase of the program. A crew of about 30 men are continuing the regional prospecting and are currently working several kilometres south of El Encanto where free gold in outcrop, with limited exposure, has been located. The crew is clearing the outcrop area to allow geological mapping and rock sampling to be undertaken. The Lara Copper Project The scheduled five-hole drill program at the Lara project has been temporarily delayed, pending the re-opening of the main road. The road was washed out two weeks ago by a river swollen by debris, derived from heavy rains hundreds of miles to the east in the high Andes Mountains. It will be repaired by the Peruvian authorities as soon as possible. *************************************************************************** going up Mon!
