Irwin Mark Jacobs
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, QUALCOMM

Irwin Mark Jacobs, one of the founders of QUALCOMM, has served as Chairman of
the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of QUALCOMM since it began
operations in July 1985. He also held the title of President prior to May 1992. Before
joining QUALCOMM, Dr. Jacobs was Executive Vice President and a Director of
M/A-COM, Inc., a telecommunications company. From October 1968 to April 1985, Dr.
Jacobs held various executive positions at LINKABIT (M/A-COM LINKABIT after
August 1980), a company he co-founded. During most of his period of service with
LINKABIT, he was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer and was at all times a Director. Dr.
Jacobs received his B.E.E. degree from Cornell University and his M.S. and Sc.D. degrees from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology ("MIT"). Dr. Jacobs is a member of the National Academy of
Engineering and received the National Medal of Technology in 1994.

F. Craig Farrill
Vice President, Strategic Technology, AirTouch Communications

Craig Farrill was named Vice President of Strategic Technology for AirTouch
Communications in May 1996. He is responsible for the assessment, development and
integration of advanced telecommunications technologies which benefit AirTouch
business units including AirTouch Cellular, AirTouch Paging, AirTouch International
and Globalstar. As a member of the AirTouch Policy Group, the 8-member top officer
team that governs the corporation, he provides strategic direction for wireless network
and subscriber technology and investments.

Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Technology, Planning and Development. In that assignment he
was responsible for technology, strategy, planning and development for AirTouch's diversified wireless
telecommunications businesses and networks.

Farrill began his 21-year career in telecommunications systems engineering and management roles at
Rockwell International's Collins Radio Group in Richardson, Texas. He joined AirTouch in 1986 as Vice
President of Engineering when Communications Industries, Inc. (CI) in Dallas, Texas was acquired by
AirTouch. While at CI, he founded their cellular division, Gencell and held various engineering management
positions for their telecommunications subsidiary, Gencom, Inc., including Vice President, Engineering.

Farrill is a founder and past President of the CDMA Development Group (CDG), an international industry
association furthering development of wideband digital cellular technology. He also serves on the Executive
Board of the CDG. Farrill represents AirTouch on wireless technology and strategy matters before the
investment community, government and regulatory bodies, industry association and standards
organizations around the world.

Farrill received a Master of Business Administration in 1979 from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor of
Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He is a registered Professional
Engineer and U.S. Patent holder in the communications field.
