The analysts have been more correct in predicting Dells performance than we are/were especially since they can control the public perception. Therefore it may be that Dell moves little until the meeting.( I have a strong feeling that Mikie is saving some very good news for that.) 3. It is hard to grasp the magnitude of Dells plans, despite Kembles warnings to pay attention. Thats where the analysts 'get it wrong', but there are some signs of what the future holds These are the $18 bil deal with IBM, the Sony $8 bil pact with IBM, the plans for Dell to buy 2/3's of Rmbs production etc.The training and addition of 1700 new workers this year in Ireland.( a 50% increase) I know a man who intercepts computer returns to Dell before they get refurbished and into the outlet store. Some of these have been pierced or damaged by a fork lift which tends to cause defects(G) and there have been too many for Dell to handle (or they would not be selling them to outsiders ). So now comes the efficiency of Dell to build that extra facility in Tennessee which could also( and perhaps mainly) be used to create valuable updated computers returned from the new leasing programs instead of sending them off to the junk yard. It has a 15 acre parking lot. Three time the size of my'farm' which has one fence of 770 ft and one fence of 680 ft. 15 acres of trucks filled with those Dell boxes coming and going Will wager its close to an airport. And this is not even part of the new plant !!! Enough for now.... Sig
