I believe you have to wait for your cash until some time after your tender. There would be a close date to the tender, perhaps a month later. The discount is because the wait is longer, and there is a risk of the deal falling through.

How about that, a company that supplies car companies takes out SFLX. I guess we sometimes forget that cars are a major user of electronics. They say HUGHES, owned by GM, is worth a lot, and that if GM split it off, the holders of GM stock would come out ahead.

I own another stock that looks like a good buy-out candidate now. STAA, just rejected an offer of $15. I would not be surprised to see other offers come for it now. As usual, I'm wishing I had loaded up on these two companies when they were low, instead of lamenting how their values were down.
