The Ugandan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Amama Mbabazi said African ministers meeting in Lusaka were expected to endorse a ceasefire late on Wednesday. Officials said ceasefire proposals that have been thrashed out over the past two weeks had been finalised at a meeting that ended at 2.00pm. on Wednesday.
