We all still see a lot of folks with AOL addresses. Talk to people outside of the internet (i.e. future customers) and most know AOL. And not necessarily in the negative light we see it in but because of the huge name recognition the company has. If anything, computers have taught us that things change fast.

AOL has a big head start on any other competitor. And despite forgetting to tie their shoes, then loosing one in the race (now going back to fetch it), their still ahead.

Looks like a decent bet to me.
