CHL is double-checking if you will, the pre feas work done by BGRM. To date, all info previously recorded and reported is correct and CHL has done stepouts and confirmation work that suggests that the deposit can still grow significantly. The work in progress now, more drilling, geo-studies, surveys of the Cacheu river, hydrology are all part of the work needed to get the final okay on the US$84MM non recourse loan from SA for production financing. This money is for the construction of a mine. A feas report and construction - if this phase of pre goes okay - suggests that production would occur next yr. The debate seems to centre on whether the production now talked of - 750K t - should be ramped up since there is the chance of increased reserves and offtake offers in excess of planned production.
Not many juniors can say that they have more people who want their product than they can service - mining or otherwise! Still a buy here I think as this story is really just starting to grow beyond the retail into the big money + inst's who are just realizing that they missed out on what looks to be a no brainer.If you want more indepth stuff than I have provided - call HRA for their report that is coming out on CHL - 12 pgs - as good a report on the potential as there is on this company.
