If you sell four times as many units, but your prices have gone down by 80%, your revenue is lower, not higher.

I don't believe this is a realistic interpretation of the situation. In particular, I don't believe that we will see ASP's fall by 80% especially as they are just beginning to plateau. Also, I don't believe they will sell CompactFlash at a loss for the next several years. If and when CF becomes that severely marginalized there should be ample warning to get out of the investment. Also, SanDisk has MMC ready to step up to the plate as a cost-effective alternative to CompactFlash down the road a few years.
