Tad LaFountain on MU rumors. Elsewhere, Micron Technology (MU: news, msgs) shares slid 1.8 percent as speculation carried over from late last week regarding its mircon processors. LaFountain said a part of the ponderings includes Micron's 0.18 processor in which "one of the functions on the parts is not working." Speculation also surrounds possible problems with Micron's 0.21 processor. LaFountain said the company has denied the rumors, yet added, "The rumors have enough specificity to them that they would appear valued on face. If in fact they [the rumors] turn out to be true, then I think there is a total shredding of credibility on the part of the company."
