I have some questions for all of you.

I just ran a search on the Morningstar site, to get a list of the best-performing funds over this past month. All but six of the thirty funds listed were Asian funds.

I am tempted to follow the herd and reinvest in an Asian fund (I pulled out of the two I had when the crisis began), but only on a short-term basis.

Two things, at this point, would keep me from considering a long-term investment in Asia as a whole, or in any individual region or country therein.

1) Uncertainty as to whether there is any real economic recovery behind the stock market recovery.

2) Uncertainty about what the impact of Asia's Y2K unpreparedness will be.

Does anyone have some thoughts about either/both of these points?

Thanks.
