Truedog,

reading that book would only give me more history of white/indian not indian/indian is that not correct?

I am not disagreeing that the American Indians were blindsided by the white man, but from what I see on the web they were not all just farmers to begin with. They to had their good and bad, their "border" wars, provision wars , what ever you want to call them. That was my point. I was not seeking to justify how they were treated. I know how they were literally destroyed in the past.

I also find it interesting that our leader was at a reservation today. Is he still legacy building? If I was any of the Indian leaders I would be getting all I could get while he is in this mode.

I am going to go to a Cherokee National Holiday(as a tourist) in Tahlequah Ok. in Sept. Tahlequah is the Capital of the Cherokee Nation. Among the many things to see, I hope to be able to see the State of the Nation Address. I am not sure if the address is reserved for Cherokee or whether the public is invited, but it should be very interesting to say the least.
