HouseHold Direct.com Announces Format for Delivery of Content Through Integration of E-Commerce and Portal Site
SOUTHBURY, Conn., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- HouseHold Direct.com householddirect.com (OTC Bulletin Board: RDIM - news) today announced that Thunderstick Software, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HouseHold Direct.com, is six months ahead of the earlier projected schedule for membership community shopping portal. The launch of the e-commerce component, forecasted for release on June 15th, is delayed to integrate this operating structure into the site.

''Analysis of portal site traffic and usage trends indicates that viewers are more active and involved when web sites not only accommodate their specific interests, but utilize their unique contributions as well. The growth of open directory formatting to deliver relevant shopping content is expanding throughout the internet environment, and adds significantly to site loyalty'' (a.k.a. - ''stickiness''), stated Alan Bell, CIO of HouseHold Direct.com.

The success of viewer commitment is exemplified by Raging Bull, Silicon Investor, NASDQ.net, Motley Fool and other financial web sites catering to subject related chat, threads and forums. While these sites are orchestrated around the promotion and support of investing interests, other sites and portals are beginning to embrace the viewers as content contributors and editors.

The member portal now allows for effective data management and linkage of over 500,000 specific web sites categorized by interests of viewing consumers. Both members and non-members will be able to sign up as content editors to manage or participate in specific areas of interest. The architecture allows site visitors and members to help define both content and function of the site. The inclusion of the portal in the site launch places HouseHold Direct.com in the arena with other open directory portals (e.g.: Snap.com, Lycos, Hotbot).

According to John Folger, CEO, ''Targeting the shopping environment of consumers, with a specialty focus on consumer discounts directly from manufacturers, HouseHold Direct.com intends to capitalize on the coordination and integration of shopping web sites from around the world. This will continue to make the HouseHold Direct.com web site and name more attractive to manufacturers, thereby offering greater pricing advantages to members''.

The Company is pleased by the feedback during the initial beta testing phase of site development, and seeks to continue a phased implementation of the web development strategy. The schedule for public launch is expected to be no later than July 28th, with several components scheduled earlier for release as testing and reviews are completed. The Company is soliciting additional beta testers; for further information, interested parties may contact us directly at info@householddiret.com .

HouseHold Direct.com combines physical member service locations with new technology, householddirect.com, bringing existing interactive shopping right to the home. Using refined data warehousing and management systems, the Company can address each individual consumer's personal preferences.
