Rocket: Thanks for easing my fears concerning Vodafone. I assumed that VOD had given up their contract/agreement as service provider for HK, Sweden, Greece, Malta, UK; leaving them only Australia and South Africa. Perhaps they are using other European gateways and will still provide marketing and customer support for these areas; but it is still unclear. If Vodafone is retracting from marketing and providing service for these areas I view it as a big negative, G* will need all the drummers they can get pushing the product. It is a relief to see the Vodafone Australia web pages touting the service. Perhaps you are right, they may be waiting on completion of all gateways before initiating service in early 2000. I look forward to more details regarding marketing plans by the service providers. Based on what I've heard about pricing, availability, etc from Air Touch, I'm as disappointed as others posting here. Let's hope it gets better.
When are we going to cut a deal with some big names like Sprint PCS, AT&T, Primeco, or Bell Atlantic????????
