Cobalt, I don't quite know how to tell you this but I'll give it a shot anyway.

Calling a man a "male chauvinist pig" has ZERO impact on most men.
As a matter of fact, many men take it as a COMPLIMENT.

I think the expression defeats its original intention of trying to
embarrass or make a man feel bad. It doesn't work.
