BP. >> All of the guys running these companies have probably been able to see these opportunities for well over a year ... apparently didn't have the confidence in Novell to make the commitments needed until the last few days ... or maybe they were expecting to do it with MicroSoft after Novell was buried. These news items look a lot like a vote of confidence in Novell ... as well as an alliance to outflank MicroSoft. <<

BP,

You may, or may not know how "profound" this statement you are making is. I wish I could have the analytical insight you demonstrate in what I consider a most excellent post.

If I might ask your opinion on this specific piece of your post:

Who, or what, do you think was responsible for this happening, like,
"all of of sudden", like in "just a couple of days"? I mean, doesn't it sound strange, that "all of a sudden this stuff just FLOWS out within a matter of days, but not even a dribble over the last 7 months?

Just an innocent, curious question. I mean, I really, really don't know. Oh, and if anyone else would like to put thier .02 in on this, I would be extremely gracious. Becuase, I sure don't know. I sure don't have the kind of expertise or intuitiveness that the rest on this board have.

Thanks BP if you can help with my ignorance on these matters.

Cordially,

Joe...
