<Unfortunatley Airtouch does not have the national presence that SPrint PCS has and therefore will make G* service less attractive in North America. I'm hoping they'll sign on the baby bells or AT&T. > I absolutely agree w/ you. Airtouch is not supposed to be the retailer of G. It's supposed to wholesale to them. That's what was said at the conf call a few months ago, and that seems to be the message on the Airtouch G website. But I'm getting impatient at the lack of announcements of who will be the retailers, and wonder what AirTouch was thinking about with this 877-satphone fiasco. It would be a disaster if the only US retailers are company's like "Airstar" and O'Gara. Well, if the launch tonight is a failure ATSS and G* will have a few more months to get their act together.
