Puna that Wailia Grande place is really a rip...I just checked their prices and its about twice what I paid when I stayed there....new owners I guess need to recoup buy price although I can't believe they could fill all those rooms at those prices....I will check out the place next door to see if that is still an option and then there are those kamaini rates...what do you need to get those again I forget...was it a Hawaii license or what?

Aloha, just now getting around to reading this thread.

The Sunday Travel section has a special rate for Kama'aina. Grand Wailea is $165.25 per person...includes roundtrip air fare from another island, 2 days car rental. And yes Kama'aina must show a Hawaii drivers license to receive benefits!
