Quiet Is Good...
Given all the recent turds that have been plopping in our little punch bowl, gotta say that I like the quiet.
Looking backwards... What could one reasonably expect from Claugus?
He had to seize the bully pulpit that is Barron's and bolster his positions. He DIDN'T have to misunderstand so much... and misrepresent a few matters. But, that's done. Hindsight being 20/20, I see Claugus as an instructive pain. WAVX, simplify your message. In the face of complexity, Claugus, who is no idiot, latched onto some simplistic, stick-figure-style descriptions.
And what CAN one reasonably expect from someone like Anthony? Anyone who is cynical enough to portray himself as a "crim" buster... isn't gonna give a damn about the facts. (He's running the ultimate credibility scam. "Believe me, I'm on the side of the angels." Oh, yeah, that's right. The dirtiest corner is where you keep the broom.) Though I have never shorted a stock--and will never--I am not opposed to those who do. But, is the venality necessary? Do you have to lie... or compound lies? Or is that the icing on the cake? The chance to talk tough and world-wise and all. Well, folks, remember, things appear much larger on the Web than they are in reality.
Now, let's look forward. I look forward to the resumption of aggressive, full-tilt DD. I also look forward to a time when the polarized positions are dropped... so the truly substantive doubts can be, once again, aired... without serving as food for the peanut gallery.
I have viewed this thread as a learning experience. I arrived with less-than-zero knowledge about WAVX... and felt that some of my early posts actually subtracted from the community.
But, over these past several months, on numerous occasions, it has been made clear to me that we have good thread "stewards" here who are serving all of our interests. And, to them, I say a whole-hearted Thank You. It is a blessing and wonder to me that we "strangers" are willing to toss in hours of spare time in an effort to be of service. We could squirrel away our bits of information and insights and speculations. But, thankfully, we don't. Yes, we're all in it for the money. No question. You can keep the glory as long as the checks don't bounce. Still... a blessing and a wonder...
