Not sure if AOL complied by law , they just told me it was
their policy to comply with a subpoena and notify their
members. Struck me as funny since I've always used
my real name and my membership was three months
after the period they were investigating. The SEC then
asked me for all correspondence regarding my
membership , which at that point was 4 e-mails.
Haven't heard from them since , several months now.
