Exactly. I think it might be possible to get an injunction to
stop SI from giving out personal information if one was to receive notice that someone had served them with such a request. I don't know about US law but injunctions are very often applied for and granted here in Canada.
As members here pay for the 'privilege' of posting I think it's the least that SI can do as a service to protect identities.
