Pete is building (hopefully) a giant database today which represents tomorrow's "moist towelette" of consumer banking.

In the meantime, it's fascinating that the consultants (Gartner) see the portal as the key intermediary, while MSFT sees the bank as the key. For consumers, IMO, the portal represents the future of banking. The liability side of a bank will be a branded checkbook applet pasted to a room full of disk drives and fiber optic lines. CKFR will be the back end. On the asset side, we'll have pure securitization, with credit scoring models doing 90% of what passes for credit analysis today. What a world it will be!

Charlie...IMO....Pete needs to go out and punch these guys really really hard, and see if they are as tough as everybody thinks they are...ie Banks. The worst case senerio, we are trading at $26 just after IPO...like we are now...darn near 5 years later. And we just back up and kiss them square on the butt like we have been; saying sorry, sorry. OR we find a soft spot...and don't let up until we have shifted the paridigm....

After all, what they need to do to DO US, is do what US are DOING..and they can't DO that.
